  1. What do you charge?
We are often asked, "What does it cost for your services?" In order to provide a closer estimate, tell us what the product is and what services you would like from us. Our estimates are based on how much time it will take to complete your particular project. Overall, you will find our prices to be below average. Quotes are "not to exceed" estimates.

  2. Are you going to take our money and run?
No. We have every intention of fulfilling our obligations and we enjoy what we do. Helping people see their dreams realized is inspiring for us as well. Having experience with fraudulent companies, we are not about to do the same. We are like you: people with ideas, but of course, we can make them a reality.

  3. How long does it take to complete?
Computer Models can take anywhere from a day to a month; it all depends on the complexity and our workload. Physical Prototypes will take from two weeks to numerous months. Every design is a prototype until the part is proven to work correctly and that takes time. The more information you supply us with, the faster we can work.

  4. Do I have to tell you all the details of what I want?
No. We can make judgment calls with your input into some gray areas. However, we like patents because they spell out what it is we are designing. Designing something new is challenging. We try at make it as easy as possible for you.

  5. What kind of details will I need to consider?
Material you would like us to use: Plastic, Metal, Rubber, Combination. Height & Weight limitations. If it drops can it break? Many questions. Each project has its own unique challenges, although sometimes the projects are completed faster than expected.

  6. How do I know the status of my project?
We have a project checklist for each job as part of our service. Once signed up with us, we give you a username and password, and allow you to Login to view the progress. To see a an example project, use 'demo' as the password and username. In some circumstances we do not use the login process. This includes small projects and sometimes repeat customers.

  7. what information do i need to send you?
We accept documents in many formats. We of course accept your material by mail, email, ftp, and fax. If there is another way, let us know, I am sure we can do it.

Programs we work with: Excel, Word, Power Point, AutoCAD, Solidworks, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.

File Types we accept: Any file type related to the above programs. If you use a MAC, please save it in a Windows compatible format.

Projects with a Patent or Patent Pending:
    - Patent number or Patent Pending number.
    - Documents relevant to what we are to create for you.
    - Documents related to any existing similar products.

    Projects without a Patent:
    - Documents relevant to what we are to create for you.
    - Documents related to any existing similar products.

The documents we receive from you must have your signature and date on them. We will also log them in here when we receive them. Please do not send any information that is proprietary. We design around your documentation and input.

We will not knowingly infringe upon any intellectual property. Patents are the best documentation from a design guideline point of view. However, if this is a new idea, we offer no guarantee that we are not infringing upon existing intellectual property unless a thorough patent search is performed before beginning any design work. PYP is not responsible to refund monies if client later discovers his/her invention is already available on the market in a patent or filed application.

  8. What is your return policy?
PYP's refund policy is such that we will return 100% of monies spent if we fail to design a product that fits within the guidelines supplied to us by the client. We guarantee that you will be satisfied. If the product is of quality and deemed to be worthy by us to put in front of a potential acquirer, then we cannot refund your money. We want to be fair on our end, and expect you to be as well. Considering we want you happy, we are always certain to build the best prototype possible.

  9. How do I pay?
We accept Cashiers Checks, Credit Card, and PayPal. With PayPal you can pay with your credit card or we can charge the card for you. We charge an extra 4% when paying via credit card versus paying with cash on PayPal or a Cashiers Check. Note that you are responsible to get the payment to us on the specified date. Work is performed as payments are made.

  10. What if I can't make a payment or it is late?
A delay in payment will cause a delay in the project, however, we can always put a project on hold. It does however disrupt the work flow and may interrupt others that we work with. If a client does not contact us within seven days after a missed scheduled payment, then the project will be put on hold until payment is made. If after 30 days we are not contacted by the client, then the project falls under "abandonment." The project can be restarted, but a fee will be charged as it takes time to review and regain where we left off. In addition, the missed payment plus the subsequent payment will be due before the project commences to restart. In all cases, the final payment must be made before the final sample(s) of the product are delivered to the customer. The client may see the product, but it will stay in the possession of PYP until final payment is received. Following payment, all samples will be delivered to client. We work with you, but suggest you have your finances in order to pay us so we can pay our bills.
